Founded in 2009 by pianist Gloria Chien, String Theory offers superb chamber music performances in an artistically inspiring setting at the Hunter Museum of American Art in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. String Theory presents the most sought-after musicians and curates exquisite programming that includes chamber music classics as well as music of our time.

Presenting intimate music in a museum setting has been a treasured tradition at prestigious institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, and the Phillips Collection in Washington D.C.
