UM Gusman Concert Hall
Percussion ignites the evening with Takemitsu’s Rain Tree, Ignatowicz-Glińska’s Passacaglia, and Viñao’s Dance Groove Drifting. Guest pianists Gloria Chien and Ieva Jokūbavičiūtė follow with a four-hand set of Bach chorales and Ravel’s La Valse.
The grand finale is Crumb’s cosmic Makrokosmos III—a seldom-heard masterpiece and a rare chance to experience it live.
